Retro Shooter
Retro Top-Down Shooter is a fast 2D top-down arena shooter you play in the browser (HTML5). You move with WASD or the arrow keys, aim with the mouse, and click to shoot—with on-screen controls on touch devices.
Fight through sectors of escalating pressure: varied enemy types (including chargers, snipers, summoners, turrets, supports, and elites), environmental hazards like slow goo and damaging pulse tiles, and a timed survival sector mixed into the run. Grab pickups (health, pierce shots, shotgun bursts, and more), build kill combos for score multipliers, and watch the HUD for sector mode, hostiles, combo meter, and a clear boss health / phase bar when the Overseer shows up.
Between sectors you get meaningful choices: whole-run boons, safe vs risk routes (spawn pressure vs score multiplier), light events (rest vs salvage), and a boss prep decision before the finale. Credits and unlockable MODs persist across runs; achievements toast in-game when you earn them. Optional daily seed makes spawns repeatable for competition or practice.
Difficulty: Easy, Normal, or Hard from the title screen. Presentation: industrial UI (JetBrains Mono–style stack), procedural polygon silhouettes and arenas—retro arcade clarity without a shipped sprite pack. Audio includes SFX and looping music with master volume hints; pause freezes the action until you resume.
Goal: survive every sector, maximize score with combos and smart routing, and beat the final boss—or go again with new seeds, unlocks, and harder settings.
